Join Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center and the Bronx Music Heritage Center for a lively panel discussion, featuring Basir Mchawi and moderated by Elena Martinez. This special event coincides with the closuring of "The East: A Music Legacy "exhibition at Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center and the opening of the new Bronx Music Heritage Center.

Panelists will share insight, contexts and connections around the music and community values cultivated at The East including the styles, aesthetics, history and repertoire developed in that era. To close out the evening, award winning, Mind-Builders' Stage Band will perform, bringing to life some of the sounds celebrated in this iconic treasure of NYC music history.
