Fit4Life Zumba with Keny (Ages 17+)

  • Time: Saturday, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
  • Location: Room 304
  • Capacity: 25 students

Start your weekend with a heart-pumping Zumba class led by Zumba instructor Keny. Open to participants aged 17 and up, this class is perfect for anyone looking to have fun while staying fit.
*Participants should wear comfortable clothing for movement.

 

Mini Movers: African and Hip-Hop Fundamentals (Ages 4.5-6)

  • Time: Saturday, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
  • Location: Room 201
  • Capacity: 20 students (with parents)

This workshop introduces young dancers to African and Hip-Hop dance fundamentals, including basic choreography and movement techniques. Live drumming adds to the excitement!
*Attire: Loose T-shirt and leggings/sweatpants; bare feet for African and Modern dance, sneakers for Hip Hop. 1 Parent per student/child is welcome to observe.

 

Creative Movement (Ages 3.5-4)

  • Time: Saturday, 11:15 AM - 11:45 AM
  • Location: Room 201
  • Capacity: 20 students (with parents)

This class introduces toddlers to dance and self-expression through props, music, and rhythm. It’s a joyful way to develop motor skills and celebrate creativity.
*Attire: T-shirt and leggings; bare feet. 1 Parent per student/child is welcome to observe.

 

Dance Sampler: African, Modern, Ballet (Ages 12-18)

  • Time: Saturday, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
  • Location: Room 201
  • Capacity: 20 students (with parents)

This workshop offers a sampling of African, Ballet, and Modern dance for students aged 12-18. Live drumming will accompany the session, making it an engaging experience.
*Attire: Loose T-shirt and leggings/sweatpants; bare feet.  1 Parent per student/child is welcome to observe.

 

Adult Dance Sampler (Ages 17+)

  • Time: Saturday, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
  • Location: Room 304
  • Capacity: 25 students

This workshop is open to adults aged 17+ and features a sampling of Jazz and African dance. Live drumming adds to the experience, and no prior dance experience is required.
*Attire: Loose T-shirt and leggings/sweatpants; bare feet.

 

Suzuki Violin Demo (Ages 4-8)

  • Time: Saturday, 4:30 PM - 5:15 PM
  • Location: Room 107
  • Capacity: 10 students (with parents)

This workshop introduces young students to the fundamentals of Suzuki Violin, including positioning, tuning, and basic playing techniques. The session provides a preview of our Fall/Spring Suzuki Violin classes that are offered as both group and private lessons.
*Violins available on a first-come, first-served basis. 1 Parent per student/child is welcome to attend.

 

Drums Demo (Ages 7-15)

  • Time: Saturday, 4:30 PM - 5:45 PM
  • Location: Drum Room
  • Capacity: 8-10 students (4 kits available)

Explore the world of drums and drum kits, including snare, bass, cymbals, and more. This workshop highlights the techniques taught in our popular private and group drum classes.
*1 Parent per student/child is welcome to observe.

 

Meet the Directors

  • Location: Room 108
  • Capacity: 20 people

Join us for a unique opportunity to meet the Program Directors who design and oversee Mind-Builders’ dynamic arts programs. This session is ideal for parents, students, and community members interested in learning more about our classes, goals, and values. Come with your questions and get to know the artists who bring our programs to life.

 

Strings Demo: Cello, Viola, Violin (Ages 8-16)

  • Time: Saturday, 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM
  • Location: Room 107
  • Capacity: 10 students (with parents)

This open-level workshop is perfect for students interested in cello, viola, or violin. It offers an introduction to the techniques taught in our group violin classes and private instruction for all three instruments during the Fall/Spring semester.
*Violins available on a first-come, first-served basis. 1 Parent per student/child is welcome to observe.
